Tourists – Day 6 : Doughnut day!

As you may know, here in the US, there is a national day for litterally EVERYTHING. And on that day, it was Doughnut Day, which meant doughnut places had special offers. We thought the best deal was Krispy Kreme, in fact, they were giving one free doughnut per person, you didn’t have to buy something, and you could take any one of the flavours. After all this fat, we had to do some exercise so we went to the Mall for a walk and then, I had Field Day at school. It was soooo much fun! We were competing against each class in different tasks such as three legged race (only thing we won) or tug of war. Each team had a name, a chant, a poster, even a dance! Plus, it was really cool to spend the afternoon in sun rather than in the classrooms 🙂
For dinner, we went to the Capitol City Brewing Company, because I bring everyone there at least once eheh. We had delicious food, and copious as always. Then we went back to the Washington Monument because there was a special event about space and astronomy. There were telescopes that allowed you to look at the Moon and Saturn, we could listened to meteors, and talk with college professors. It was really interesting and fascinating 😍

Comme vous le savez peut-être, aux Etats-Unis, il y a un jour national pour tout et n’importe quoi. Et ce jours là, c’était la journée des donuts ! Autrement dit, l’occasion pour les magasins de ces boules de gras de rameuter plein de gens grâce à des offres spéciales. Krispy Kreme avait, selon nous, le meilleur deal. Tout le monde recevait un donut gratuit, sans obligation d’achat et on pouvait choisir n’importe quel parfum. Bon, après tout ce gras, on s’est quand même bougées un peu. On est allées se promener au Mall et ensuite, on est retournée à l’école parce que j’avais le Field Day. C’était trop cool ! Toutes les classes étaient en compétition les unes contre les autres dans des épreuves comme la course à trois jambes (le seul truc où on a été bons et qu’on a gagné) ou le tir à la corde. Chaque équipe avait un nom, une pancarte, un cri de guerre et même une danse ! En plus, c’était chouette de passer l’après-midi tous ensemble au soleil plutôt que dans nos classes 🙂
Pour souper, on est allées à la Capitol City Brewing Company, parce que j’amène tout le monde là-bas au moins une fois ahah Tout était incroyablement bon et super copieux, comme d’habitude. Ensuite, on est retournées au Washington Monument parce qu’il y avait un événement spécial sur l’espace et l’astronomie. Il y avait plein de télescopes et on a pu regarder la Lune et Saturne, écouter des météorites et parler avec des profs de l’uni. C’était hyper intéressant et fascinant 😍
