Montréal – Day 4 !

Fourth day in Montréal was a little bit more chill. We first had brunch on the rooftop. I finally could eat a good croissant that didn’t cost 4$ ahaha! Then we had to bring my friend’s cat to the vet and since it was close to the Canal Lachine, we went there for a walk and ended up doing paddleboat… with the cat! And she actually enjoyed it!
In the evening, we went for a drink to some friends and that was really nice. They lived in what we call a « ruelle », which a little street between houses where there are no cars and where kids can play, neighbors have barbecues,… They even have strings in the air, from a building to another, to hang their laundry! It looked sooo pretty!
It was also actually cool to escape all the magnitude of what I’m used to see since september, in DC or during this trip, and be in a family and homely environment 🙂

Le quatrième jour à Montréal a été plutôt chill. On s’est faite un petit brunch sur la terrasse. J’ai enfin pu manger un vrai croissant qui ne coutait pas 4$ ahaha ! Ensuite, on a du amené le chat de mon amie chez le véto et comme c’était vers le Canal Lachine, on en a profité pour aller se promener un moment. Et on a fini par faire du pédalo… avec le chat ! Et elle a plutôt apprécié !
Le soir, on est allées boire un verre chez des amis qui vivaient dans ce qu’on appelle une ruelle. C’est une petite rue, entre deux rangées de bâtiments, où il n’y a pas de véhicules et donc, où les enfants peuvent jouer librement, les voisins se font des barbecues,… Il y avait même des lignes tirées d’un bâtiment à un autre pour faire sécher le linge ! C’était vraiment un endroit suuuper chou !
C’était aussi agréable de s’évader un peu de la grandeur qu’on les choses, que ce soit à DC ou à Montréal, et être dans un environnement familial le temps d’une soirée 🙂
