Yesterday night we discovered a new neighborhood : Adams Morgan ! There are tons of bars ; in one of them, a band was playing some jazz, and when we came out, a guy just cam to us and sang a song, in the street. It was really lovely. And then the police yelled at us because we were blocking the street. We also found a special shop (I’m sure you notices it on the pictures 😉 ). There are also a lot of restaurants. And the food to try in DC is Ethiopian. In fact, the second place in the world where there are the most ethiopians after Ethiopia is Washington ! So there are a lot of Ethiopian restaurants.
I found a cookies shop called Insomnia Cookies and tried the « Deluxe triple chocolate chunk ». And I can tell you, it was AMAZING !
Finally, our squad welcomed two new countries : Hungary and Tunisia ! So we had (picture : left to right) : Austria, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, Hungary, Tunisia and Switzerland (again) !
Hier, découverte d’un nouveau quartier : Adams Morgan ! Il y a des plein de bars ; on en a trouvé un où un groupe faisait du jazz et quand on est sortis, un monsieur est venu vers nous et nous a joué une chanson au milieu de la rue. C’était tout chou. Et ensuite des flics nous ont engueulés parce qu’un bloquait le passage. On a aussi trouvé un magasin « spécial » (vous l’avez surement remarqué sur la photo 😉 ). Il y a aussi beaucoup de restos. Et le type de resto à essayer ici c’est éthiopien. En fait, le deuxième endroit dans le monde où il y a le plus d’éthiopiens après l’Ethiopie, c’est Washington ! Du coup y en a beaucoup.
J’ai aussi trouvé un magasin de cookies, Insomnia Cookies, et j’ai testé le « Deluxe triple pépites de chocolat ». Et c’était une TUERIE !
Enfin, notre petit groupe a accueilli deux nouvelles nations hier : Hongrie et Tunisie ! On a donc (de gauche à droite) : Autriche, France, Suisse, Suède, Suisse, Belgique, Suède, Hongrie, Tunisie et Suisse (encore) !
